Hillcrest – Fifteen people were injured when a minibus taxi crashed into a wall at a house on Riverview Drive in Hillcrest, KwaZulu-Natal, on Friday evening.

ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said paramedics were on the scene in minutes, and on arrival, found the taxi wedged up against the residence wall.

“Fifteen occupants from the taxi were assessed and found to have sustained minor to moderate injuries,” he said.

Paramedics treated the patients for their injuries and thereafter transported them to various hospitals in the area for further treatment.

“It is understood that the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to crash into the wall. Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations,” Meiring said.
