Johannesburg - Fifteen school children were injured on Tuesday after their transport vehicle lost control in Shepstone Farm near Thornville in KwaZulu Natal.

ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring said the vehicle veered uncontrollably down the road and finally came to rest at the bottom of an embankment.

Paramedics found some of the children around the vehicle upon arrival.

The children, aged between five and eight years, sustained minor to moderate injuries and were transported to Northdale and Edendale hospitals for further treatment.
