Durban -

Seventeen people were injured in a taxi crash in Isipingo on Monday morning, paramedics said.

Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha said the accident happened on the M35 near the power station in Isipingo, Durban at around 7am.

“Reports from the scene indicate that the taxi veered off the roadway, ramped up the pavement and then went down an embankment before colliding into a tree.”

One person was seriously injured while sixteen others escaped with minor injuries. - Sapa
