The Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry will launch a medical chapter on Sunday to provide business services to medical professionals.

Through the new chapter, the chamber aims to provide a platform for medical professionals to engage with business and offer networking opportunities with its 2 600 member companies, enabling the professionals to identify business opportunities in which they can participate.

“Medical professionals run businesses and there is much the chamber can offer to assist them to meet the challenges of the contemporary business environment with its labour, tax and other obligations,” Akash Singh, the chamber vice-president, said.

The chamber will formally launch its medical chapter at the Elangeni Hotel at 2pm on Sunday. All medical professionals are welcome to attend.
