Johannesburg - Five people died in a fire that swept through a house in Chatsworth on Friday morning, KwaZulu-Natal Emergency Medical Services said.
A sixth person who apparently lived in the Erica Road home had not yet been found, spokesman Robert McKenzie said.
“As to if this person was home at the time of the fire is still trying to be established.”
The fire fully engulfed the house but was brought under control by firefighters.
The cause was unknown and an investigation by authorities had begun. - Sapa
