Johanensburg - A 14-year-old boy died after he was hit by a car on the N2 south in Umgababa, KwaZululu-Natal, on Wednesday, paramedics said.
The teenager and his friend were running across the highway when his hat blew off and he tried to run after it, Netcare spokesman Chris Botha said.
The boy, from Secunda, Mpumalanga, died on the scene.
