Durban - A 43-year-old Kloof man was found dead in his bath after a tenant noticed water flowing out of the door of her landlord’s Uplands Road home.

Blue Security managing director Darryn le Grange said a company car was called to the house on Sunday afternoon.

“A Blue Security community police officer was alerted by a tenant on the premises. She saw water flowing out from under the bathroom door.

The officer got no response to shouts to the person inside. They gained entry to the house by forcing burglar guards.

“They discovered the owner of the house was dead in the bathtub.

“The SAPS were called to the premises and took over the scene,” Le Grange said.

Police spokesman Colonel Vincent Mdunge said the Pinetown police station had opened an inquest docket.

He confirmed the man was found in the bathroom on Sunday, and said a post-mortem would be done to determine the cause of death.
