Johannesburg - A man in his twenties died after trying to cross the N2 north near Ballito, paramedics said on Friday.
“Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain a subject for police investigation and comment,” Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha said.
He said when paramedics arrived at the scene on Thursday night they found the man lying in the road unresponsive.
“After their examination they found that the man had tragically died on impact due to the extensive injuries that he sustained.”
Botha said traffic in the area was severely affected for several hours while police investigations were taking place. - Sapa
