Johannesburg - One man died and six people, including a nine-month-old baby, were injured in an accident in Sunningdale, north of Durban, paramedics said on Wednesday.

Netcare 911 spokeswoman Santi Steinmann said paramedics responded to an accident on Tuesday night and found two vehicles had collided, resulting in one of them overturning.

Among the injured were also two girls aged seven and nine.

“The nine-month-old baby was found to be in a critical condition and required advanced life support intervention at the scene.”

The injured received treatment on the scene before being transported to hospital.
