Man seriously injured after his dogs attack him

Durban – An 82-year-old man was seriously injured on Friday, when he was attacked by his own two dogs in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal, paramedics said.

ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said that paramedics were called by his wife after he was attacked and bitten by their two dogs.

"Paramedics found the man seated in his living room. Assessments showed that the man had sustained numerous bite wound over his arms, neck and head," Meiring said.

"Paramedics treated the man for his injuries and thereafter transported him to St Augustine's Hospital for urgent treatment."

Meiring said the incident was reported to the local authorities. Further details were not immediately available.
