Durban – One person has been killed and a tanker caught alight in a collision between three vehicles on Monday.

Robert McKenzie, spokesman for the KwaZulu-Natal provincial Emergency Medical Service, said that the collision occurred near the Peter Brown Drive offramp from the N3 on Town Hill.

McKenzie said that one person had died and four had been injured in the collision. The tanker caught alight and motorists heading in towards Pietermaritzburg were being urged to use alternative routes.
