Durban - About 300 people staged a service delivery protest in Mariannridge outside Pinetown on Tuesday morning, KwaZulu-Natal police said.

“There are barricades on the roads preventing cars travelling from Dasenhoek and Marianhill,” Lieutenent-Colonel Vincent Mdunge said.

The protests resulted in the closure of Milky Way road and the M1. Police were monitoring the area.

No arrests have been made.
