Durban - Six people have been killed in road accidents around KwaZulu-Natal, the provinces emergency medical services (EMS) said on Saturday.

Three people were killed on Friday when two cars collided on the R102 near Hibberdine, spokesman Robert Mckenzie said.

“Another (person) was critically injured and advanced life support paramedics used advanced resuscitation techniques while transporting the patient to hospital,” he said.

“Two other people also sustained injuries in this accident and were transported to Port Shepstone hospital for continued care.”

In a separate incident, three people were killed and 10 injured when a car and bakkie collided in the Malangeni area near Umzinto.

The injured had critical to minor injuries and were taken to the GJ Crookes hospital, said Mckenzie. - Sapa
