Johannesburg - A man died when a truck and a bakkie collided on the R102 near Stanger on Friday, KwaZulu-Natal paramedics said.
Firemen had to use the Jaws-of-Life to free the bakkie driver, who was trapped in the debris, said Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha.
He died on arrival at hospital. The truck driver was unharmed.
It was not yet known what had caused the accident, said Botha.
