Durban - Two people have been killed and seven others severely injured in an accident on the M35 near Philani Valley, Umlazi in Durban, paramedics said.
Garrith Jamieson, operations director of Rescue Care said paramedics arrived on the scene to find total carnage on the roadway.
“Two vehicles had collided head on leaving all of the occupants severely injured,” he said in a statement.
“Rescue Care's Advanced Life Support quickly triaged the scene together with EMRS and it was found that unfortunately two people a male and a female had suffered fatal injuries and had passed away before their arrival.”
The injured were taken to hospital.
