Johannesburg - Two men were injured, one critically, in an explosion at a petrol station in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal paramedics said on Friday.

The explosion happened on Thursday at the Allen and Harding road intersection.

The men were treated on scene and taken to Medi-Clinic Newcastle for further medical treatment.
