Two people died on Sunday and another was seriously injured in an accident on the N2 in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal paramedics said.

Netcare911 spokesman Jeff Wicks said the accident happened on the N2 southbound carriageway near the M25 KwaMashu Highway in Durban.

“It is believed the driver of the car lost control before it left the road and slammed into the roadside barrier.”

He said another car crashed into a flat bed tow truck while technicians were busy recovering the first car.

“Two men were declared dead on the scene while another sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital.” - Sapa
