Tzaneen – Sixteen people were injured when a taxi and a truck collided on the R36, in Nkowakowa, Tzaneen, on Saturday morning, Limpopo paramedics said.
When ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on the scene they found that the truck driver was trapped in the vehicle. Fire and rescue services extricated the man from the truck, ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said.
Upon assessment it was found that he sustained moderate injuries. He was treated and transported to hospital.
“The passenger from the truck as well as all other patients, who were from the taxi, sustained minor injuries. They were treated and transported to hospital for further medical care,” Bodasing said.
