Polokwane - Sowetan photojournalist Elijar Mushiana will be remembered for his dedication and commitment to his work, the ANC in Limpopo said on Monday.
“The African National Congress in Limpopo has learnt with sadness about the passing away of Elijar Mushiana, the Sowetan photojournalist based in Limpopo,” spokesman Khumbudzo Ntshavheni said in a statement.
“He was among a few who rose from the community print media space to excel in the mainstream of print media.
“Even in death, his story must inspire other young people of Limpopo who aspire to pursue a career in the media that success is possible with perseverance and dedication.”
Mushiana previously worked at the Limpopo Mirror and was a founder-member of the Vhembe Media Association. Details of his death were not immediately available.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues at the Sowetan, and the entire media fraternity and his friends,” Ntshavheni said.
