Johannesburg - Some Limpopo schools will not have their full complement of textbooks when they reopen on Wednesday.
The provincial Education Department confirmed on Tuesday that it had not delivered all prescribed textbooks to some schools.
“We have delivered at all schools, but we haven’t delivered everything,” according to department spokesman Phuti Seloba.
He still insisted that “99 percent” of textbooks had been delivered on time.
“It’s a small number, a few books here and a few books there,” said Seloba.
He said an error had occurred when textbooks were ordered from publishers last year. As they were delivering, the error was noted. An order was placed and they were awaiting stock.
