Johannesburg - Eight Limpopo pupils were injured in a car accident in Polokwane on Tuesday, paramedics said.
Netcare 911 spokesman Jeffrey Wicks said two of the pupils sustained serious injuries when a minibus taxi and a heavy goods truck collided at the junction of Church and Marshall streets. “It appeared as if the vehicles entered the junction simultaneously.” The force of impact cause the heavy goods truck to lose its load of bottles. Some of the injured were flung from the minibus. “They were later transported to state hospitals for further medical care,” he said. The cause of the accident was still unknown. - Sapa
