Seven killed in Limpopo crash

Johannesburg - Seven people, among them children, were killed in a head-on collision on the R37, outside Polokwane, on Saturday afternoon, paramedics said.

A minibus carrying 16 children of various ages, and a car collided head-on, killing seven people, Netcare 911 spokeswoman Santi Steinmann said.

She could not immediately say how many children were among the dead.

One person was critically injured and eight were seriously injured.

The critically injured patient was airlifted to hospital, while the other patients were treated on scene and taken to hospital.

The cause of the accident would be investigated. - Sapa
