Johannesburg - Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe will fly to Washington D.C. in the Unites States for the 19th International Aids Conference on Sunday, the presidency said.

At the conference, which runs until Tuesday, Motlanthe would speak about South Africa's plans for reducing HIV infections over the next four years, spokesperson Thabo Masebe said in a statement.

While in the US, Motlanthe would also meet donor agencies and senior members of the US Congress. - Sapa
