Sixteen people were injured, several of them seriously, when a bakkie overturned on the R36 between Ermelo and Carolina in Mpumalanga on Thursday, paramedics said.
The driver lost control of the bakkie and it overturned as another vehicle attempted to overtake it, Netcare 911 spokesman Jeffrey Wicks said.
Paramedics arrived at the scene to find some of the injured lying outside the bakkie.
They were treated and stabilised at the scene and transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital, Wicks said. – Sapa
