No pedastrians to push you out of the way or stomp on your toes. No train to complete your suicide attempt. So go ahead, indulge in those inner thoughts. Picture: Oupa Mokoena

Middelburg -

A man is in a critical condition after a train crushed his leg in Middleburg, Mpumalanga on Friday morning, paramedics said.

“Witnesses on scene told paramedics that the man had apparently been walking along the tracks when he fell over and the train rode over him,” ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said.

He sustained severe injuries to his left leg and was given advanced life support before being taken to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.

“Local authorities were on scene for further investigations,” said Meiring. - Sapa
