A forensic and fraud investigations unit is being established to tackle corruption in the North West, the premier's office said on Saturday.

Premier Supra Mahumapelo called on all members of executive council to lead by example by demonstrating positive ethical conduct and rejecting corruption.

“We have asked that all forensic investigation reports commissioned by the provincial government... to be made available to the office of the premier for processing and disclosure through the legislature subject to necessary legal processes,” Mahumapelo said in a statement.

He appealed to members of the community to help government in the fight against fraud and corruption.

Mahumapelo said public servants should not be doing business with government. - Sapa
