A man died after his car crashed into a dam near Klerksdorp in the North West, paramedics said on Thursday.

Netcare 911 spokesman Jeffrey Wicks said the man apparently lost control of the vehicle and drove through 150m of veld before plunging into the dam on Wednesday.

Farm workers found the car on Thursday afternoon. Divers would recover his body later in the day. - Sapa
