Delareyville - Three people died and one was injured when two cars collided between Delareyville and Geysdorp on Tuesday, North West police said.

Both drivers and a passenger in one of the cars died on the scene of the crash at 3.30pm, said Captain Pelonomi Makau.

The driver of a Volkswagen Polo lost control of the vehicle and it collided with a Toyota Yaris coming from the opposite direction, she said.

“The driver and the passenger of the Yaris died on the scene. The passenger from the Polo sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital.”

Police were investigating a case of culpable homicide, said Makau.
