Johannesburg - Two men were killed and two injured when a train hit a car outside Hotazel in the Northern Cape, paramedics said on Sunday.

Four men in their thirties were in the car when it was struck while crossing the tracks around 7.30pm on Saturday, ER24 spokeswoman Vanessa Jackson said.

One man died on the scene, the second one at a nearby clinic. The two survivors were taken to hospitals in Kathu. - Sapa
