South African consumers were out in force to take advantage of Black Friday specials.
As most people headed off to work, scores of shoppers stood in long queues waiting for stores to open on one of the biggest retail trading days of the year.
While many people were clearly excited to grab some bargains, there was disappointment and even some fraying tempers as the promised rock bottom priced goods flew off the shelf.
