The affordable education loan option
Johannesburg - Department of International Relations and Co-operation officials would on Tuesday meet the Pretoria family of a South African who had died in a Thailand prison, department spokesman Nelson Ngwete said.
“We are not able to release her name as we’ve not been given permission by the family. We can confirm we are meeting the family in Pretoria to discuss the way forward,” he said.
Ngwete would not be drawn on why the woman had been incarcerated or when she died.
Eyewitness News reported that the woman was allegedly a drug mule imprisoned at Klong Prem Central Prison in Bangkok and had died last week after a long illness.
