Two taxi drivers and a taxi guard are expected in court within days, charged with the rape of a 14-year-old Plumstead High School pupil.
Police said she had boarded a minibus taxi outside the school on Friday with two classmates, one of them 14, the other 15.
The girl had been raped in the back of the taxi in front of the other two, Grassy Park police spokesperson William Pienaar said. The other two girls had managed to escape.
The three suspects were arrested after a number of Plumstead High pupils gave police detailed descriptions. They remain in custody.
