Johannesburg - A slight increase in temperature is expected across the country ahead of the Spring season, the SA Weather Service said on Sunday.

“Temperatures will gradually increase this week,” said forecaster Dipuo Tawana.

Snowy weather conditions were experienced across several parts of the country in recent days.

No snow was forecast for the next week.

Snow started to fall on Thursday evening in parts of the Western Cape, Eastern Cape, southern Lesotho, as well as in the Drakensberg mountains in KwaZulu-Natal, forecaster Bransby Bulo said at the time.

There would be no rainfall across the country for the next six days, said Tawana.

“Rain is only expected along the south-western coast and south coast on Saturday.”

This included areas such as Cape Town, Hermanus, Plettenberg Bay and Knysna in the Western Cape. - Sapa
