Two people died when the car they were travelling in overturned on Van Dyk Road in Boksburg on Saturday, Ekurhuleni Metro Police said.
Spokesman Kobeli Mokheseng said the Opel veered off the road and rolled a few times and then crashed through the palisade fence of the Boksburg correctional services building.
The 46-year-old driver and his female passenger, who were thrown from the vehicle, died at the scene.
Police did not know what had caused the accident, Mokheseng said. - Sapa
