Cape Town - On Friday evening student protesters gathered on Darling Street, in Cape Town’s central business district, which has been cordoned off.

Police are keeping a watchful eye on the protest.

Parts of Adderley Street have also been also blocked off.

The protesters are chanting “Police must fall”.
