Cape Town - An urgent hunt is under way for a Cape Town mother who failed to return home to her child on Wednesday night.
Wendy Clarke, 52, who works in the horse feed industry, had visited clients in Wellington on Wednesday.
Her 12-year-old son had returned from school by bus to their home in Big Bay on the West Coast and was waiting for his mother to return.
Clarke’s ex-husband, Michael Clarke, said on Friday she had phoned their tenants about 7pm, to say she’d be a little late.
“Then, at 7.50pm, she phoned our son and told him she was leaving Wellington, where she’d been having supper with a client.”
But Clarke failed to return home.
Her car, a Kia Rio, CA576286, does not have a tracking system installed.
Police are investigating.
