Cape Town – A busy street in the Cape Town CBD was closed to traffic on Wednesday afternoon after emergency services responded to a fire at the Pinnacle building.
Cape Town Fire and Rescue Services Theo Layne confirmed that a fire broke out on the 14th floor of the building in a server room. No injuries were reported.
Throngs of bystanders looked on as firefighters went to work.
Three fire engines and a City fire and rescue vehicle was parked outside.
According to office workers milling abut outside, only certain floors in the building were evacuated.
