Cape Town - Four men were injured after a tipper truck collided with a roadside barrier in Woodstock on Wednesday, paramedics reported.

ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said the accident occurred on De Waal Drive. “Paramedics, along with other emergency services, arrived at the scene and found the smashed tipper truck against the roadside barrier. Rubble that had been carried by the truck was spread across the whole road,” he said.

Meiring said four men were found lying outside the truck, near the accident scene. “Assessments showed that three men had sustained moderate injuries while the fourth sustained only minor injuries,” he said.

Paramedics treated the four men for their injuries and transported them to nearby hospitals for further medical treatment.

Local authorities were on the scene to investigate the cause of the collision.
