Cape Town - A man was killed when a heavy-duty crane truck veered off the road near Clanwilliam on Monday morning, a Western Cape health department official said.
Emergency medical services spokeswoman Keri Davids said the man was found on the N7, about 25km outside Clanwilliam, while the truck cab burned nearby.
She said it was not clear whether the man had been inside the truck or on the road at the time of the accident. The fire was extinguished and a rescue team was busy extricating either one or two people trapped inside the cab.
