A man died after he was driven over by a train in Strand, outside Cape Town, paramedics said on Friday

ER spokesman Andre Visser said the man died while trying to jump into the train on Thursday night.

“The man allegedly ran next to the train before attempting to jump up and catch it. The man then fell next to the train before being hooked on... (its) undercarriage,” he said. - The man died at the scene.
