Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu was in typically jocular mood as he welcomed Princess Stéphanie of Monaco at his foundation’s offices in Milnerton, Cape Town, on Thursday.
She is the president of Fight Aids Monaco and is visiting South Africa for the second time in her capacity as goodwill ambassador for UNAids.
Tutu said: “It’s just wonderful to know she acts royally in carrying her foundation, one that does very many good things…
“On behalf of those who are beneficiaries of the royal largesse, thank you. Merci.”
The princess did not address the media. – Cape Argus
