Cape Town - A pilot was injured when his light aircraft crashed at the Stellenbosch Airfield in the Western Cape on Friday, paramedics said.

The 46-year-old was trying to take off when the aircraft's tail hit the ground and the plane overturned, ER24 spokeswoman Luyanda Majija said.
