Great news! This does exactly what RainbowUCT wanted it to do - Rename the work 'out of the closet and into the fire'. It highlights so very well the prejudice young gay people experience when they declare their sexuality - it is an artwork in it's own right created by bigots. it should be left exactly as it is for the full duration of the exhibition to make people reflect on the stupidy of the bigots that burned it. It has done an excellent job in drawing attention to the problem and hopefully it will help to prevent further unnecessary prejudice against LBGTI people.
