Six dead in Cape taxi crash

Six people were killed and 12 were injured when their minibus taxi crashed near Aberdeen, in the Western Cape, on Wednesday morning, provincial emergency services said.

Spokeswoman Keri Davids said the taxi was travelling to Cape Town when it rolled about 50 kilometres outside Aberdeen, in the Karoo, around 5am.

Four men and two women died on the scene.

Three men were critically injured, three women were seriously injured and six people, including four children, sustained minor injuries. - Sapa
