Six die in house blaze in Cape Town

Cape Town - Six people, including four children, have died in a fire in Bonteheuwel on the Cape Flats.

The City Of Cape Town's fire and rescue services responded to the fire at about 2am on Wednesday morning.

Spokesperson Liezl Moodie said: “Two adult females and four minor males died as a result of fatal burn wounds”.

She said the house in Netreg Street was gutted, leaving a further six people displaced. The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.
