Wellington - A head on collision between two bakkies left six people injured in Wellington, Western Cape on Monday, ER24 paramedics reported.

ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said the accident occurred on Hermon Road.

“ER24 paramedics, along with Metro services, arrived on scene and found the two bakkies lying on the side of the road. One of the wrecked bakkies lay on its side.”

Meiring said the six, three from each vehicle, had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.

The patients were treated then transported to various facilities, including Mediclinic Paarl, for further treatment, he said.

The cause of the accident was not yet known.
