Johannesburg - Economic Freedom Fighters supporters sang as they waited to be registered for their national assembly in Soweto on Friday night.
Over a hundred people wearing the EFF signature red beret sang songs ridiculing the African National Congress and its leaders.
As the registration process dragged on, EFF delegates left the Uncle Tom's Hall in Orlando West to find a beer or two. They walked around with beer bottles, chatting and singing.
EFF leader Julius Malema was scheduled to address the national assembly at 6pm but by 8.50pm there was no sign of him.
Supporter Kenny Kunene arrived at the venue earlier. - Sapa
