Julius Malema’s family have asked God to intervene to cleanse their son from last week’s “dirty celebration” over the ANCYL president’s apparent downfall.
On Tuesday, the family and the league’s Limpopo branch organised a prayer session at the ANC Youth League leader’s grandmother’s house in Seshego, outside Polokwane.
Three priests, including Pastor Jacqueline Selolo, of the Seshego Baptist Church, led the prayer session. In 2010, Malema donated a church building for the use of Selolo’s congregation.
During the church’s official opening, President Jacob Zuma said Malema was worthy of leading the ANC.
Two years later, Zuma and Malema are sworn enemies, with the suspended youth leader working to remove Zuma as ANC leader.
On Tuesday, Malema’s grandmother Sarah and some of his aunts attended the prayer session.
Malema’s opponents in Seshego carried a replica coffin around town on Saturday to celebrate the ANC national disciplinary committee of appeals’ decision to uphold his guilty verdict.
Malema’s opponents said the coffin signified Malema’s political death. But the family did not take kindly to this.
The priests on Tuesday “cast out all demonic and the devil’s spirits” that had been directed at the family.
Selolo told hundreds of Malema’s supporters, some in a convoy of flashy cars, that Malema had been appointed by God to lead the world.
“If God has appointed you, that is final, no matter what people say,” said Selolo.
Malema’s aunt, who was identified only as Mrs Mashatola, said: “Julius was born to be the king of the world.”
Provincial ANCYL chairman Frans Moswane praised former president Thabo Mbeki and referred to Zuma’s deputy as “President Kgalema Motlanthe”.
Jossie Buthane, an associate of Malema’s, sang the derogatory “Shawara wa re sokodisa” song to mock Zuma.
Rhudzani Ludere, the league’s provincial secretary, said: “It can’t be that when you ask questions why Duduzane Zuma (the president’s son) is an instant millionaire, you are charged.
“We can’t allow Khulubuse (Zuma’s nephew) to stuff dirty money into his pocket for fear of purging,” Ludere added.
Earlier, a scuffle broke out between Malema’s supporters and his opponents.
It was broken up without any injury reported.
Malema was not part of the proceedings. - The Star

As soon as people start claiming things on God and in God's name, etc...not long after that they are destroyed. Just ask the people who sank on the Titanic when it was said:'Even God cannot sink this ship!'

Mr Malema seems to have a lot to say about a number of issues in South Africa and it's neighbours. more specifically he has some very outspoken opinions about nationalisation of a variety of business sectors. To date I am not aware of any debates that he has been willing to enter publically so essentially his opinions remain just that opinions. He has been unable to convince the large majority of the thinking electorate that these opinions are implementable, sustainable or that they will deliver the stated objectives he so loudly proclaims.

Wasn't the minister checking overspending? Can't Pravin Gordan do his job or doesn't the director read provincial report.Gordan is pretending that the department has overspent for Zuma's political gain.If the processes are checked it shouldn't go this far.Zuma is using state property for his polical survival.

In essence, Mantashe’s show of support in a rally held in Bulawayo on the (08122011) when he said “…We will send campaign strategy teams to work with you; this will be the best way to celebrate the centenary of the ANC in January 2011” (source: Zimbabwe Independent); meant that he will establish a ‘command team’ to help ZANU-PF and yet he was charging Malema of the very same offence. That is hypocrisy. Mantashe’s endorsement of ZANU-PF also meant that the ANC endorses the dehumanizing manner in which ZANU-PF treats its opponent, it means that the ANC condones the brutality that opposition supporters face, and it means that the ANC is comfortable with the manner in which Mugabe has run down the economy of Zimbabwe.

We must also question, who speaks on behalf of the ANCYL NEC if it is not the President of the organsiation? If Malema indeed had endorsement from his executive to make such utterances, why is Malema charged as an individual? In an organisation that subscribes to internal democracy, Malema is not at liberty to subvert resolutions of the NEC. Therefore, does it mean that if the ANCYL NEC resolves on a matter for public pronouncement, the individual making the remarks will be charged? The charges by the ANC on Malema seem to create fertile ground for individualism in the party, rather than enforcing cooperation and collective accountability for issues.

Cowboys don't cry over spilt milk! With priestly power behind him, nothing can stop the king from political resurrection. The enemies of economic freedom for youth leaders fear this fighting prince, this knight in shining karma, this lard of the ring! Viva! Those imbecilic zumaristas who seek to cast this future president and entrepreneurial multi-millionaire into the political wilderness must know that they are impugning a comrade who builds and donates churches, a learned and tender-hearted man, a portly leader courageous enough to moon his critics when circumstances require. Indeed South Africa's Il Duce. Lead us to the promised land of oblivion, King!

Hahahahaha, And who made this pastor so clever that he knows that "If God has appointed you, that is final, no matter what people say"? Who says God ever actually appointed Malema? Let alone to rule the world? Are these people so thick that they actually believe this? All Malema is doing is ruling the poor by stealing the little they have with empty promises and hot air.....so he can build his R16 million mansion in Sandton. Seriously, all you people who believe in Malema, where is YOUR big house? Where is YOUR flashy car? and YOUR Breitling watch? Malema has this stuff and lies to you that through nationalisation YOU TOO CAN HAVE THESE RICHES. HELLO !!!! All it will do is destroy the economy, but trust me Malema and his criminal cohorts will make a LOT of money off it, and the poor will be poorer and there will be way more unemployed people. Is that what it will take for you to realise what Malema, ruler of is own wallet, is actually doing to you?

Just as Chief Buthelezi said some while ago when then Deputy President Jacob Zuma was recalled from his position by the President Thabo Mbeki: “idleba lendoda alihlekwa” (you do not rejoice the fall of another man), translated in Pedi, 'Lebadi la monna ga le segwe', I look forward to hear him repeat the same of my homebrother Sello Malema. At that time Chief Buthelezi suspended the party political hatchet to co-morn the pain of the then deputy president. There is no denying that since his rise to ANCYL leadership, Malema kept South Africans busy, thinking, and reminded many of us the oppressed that we are cheating ourselves if we think we have arrived. I may have differed with him on certain points, but he best and eloquently laid bare all what many including myself, would, but for fear of victimisation, or lack of platforms, could not openly say. His disappearance from the political scene, however long or short-lived it may be, will leave his successor under extreme pressure as he has, in my view, set an extremely high tone and standard. Oppressed South Africans need his or voices like his! Relevant voices!

“If God has appointed you, that is final, no matter what people say” Ja right. Wasn't the apartheid government "appointed by God" as well..??? I would hate to think that God had appointed such an evil, corrupt, inept, hateful and openly racist buffoon to lead anyone yet alone the youth, just as much as I would hate to think that the old apartheid government was "appointed by God". Why are these people insisting of bringing God into their own corrupt and greedy manoveurs? If anyone was ever "appointed by God" to any position anywhere, then shouldn't that person by all means be the most shining example of trustworthy, hard working, honest, loving, tolerant and caring person in the world??? But no, to these people being "appointed by God" means that they have carte blanche over everything, meaning they do as they like and when they like, and everybody else can go to hell.

King of the world. Can you imagine, he could nationalize every listed company, introduce BEE to every private business then redistribute the land (whole countries and economies) to his friends, raking a percentage for himself on the way... And the poor people in SA would still be poor.
