Johannesburg - South Africans should honour Nelson Mandela's legacy by working together to create a safer country, the National Institute for Crime prevention and the Reintegration of Offenders (Nicro) said on Friday.
“Nicro would like to encourage fellow countrymen and women to continue to emulate his wise words and work together towards a peaceful and safe South Africa,” Nicro spokesman Jacques Sibomana said in a statement.
“... We are constantly inspired by the legacy of this gentle man, a true humanist and promoter of peace, love and unity not only amongst South African but across the world.”
Mandela died at his home in Houghton, Johannesburg, on Thursday night, at the age of 95.
