The affordable education loan option
A Perth father who drove to a child care centre to pick up his infant son went back to the car park to find the 11-month-old dead in the car after being told at reception he had not been checked in that morning, West Australian police said on Thursday.
It may have been a tragic mix-up but the parents are being interviewed and police spokesman Sam Dinnison said inquiries into the circumstances leading to the child's death were continuing.
“It's not being treated as a homicide but we're not ruling anything out,” Dinnison said. “It's a tragic set of circumstances.”
A spokesman for the child care centre said counselling had been offered to staff over Wednesday's incident in the Perth suburb of Helena Valley. - Sapa-dpa
